🌿 What is Anubias Barteri var.? nana “Petite”

Anubias barteri var. Nana “Petite” (often sold as Anubias Petite, Mini Anubias, or TC Anubias nana Petite) is a miniature cultivar of the dwarf anubias plant in the arum family Araceae. It’s propagated in tissue culture (TC) for healthy, pest-free growth and prized in the aquarium hobby for its very small size and slow growth.

📏 Description

• Size: Typically only about 3–5 cm tall, making it one of the smallest Anubias varieties — ideal for nano tanks and detailed foreground planting.

• Leaves: Thick, dark green, oval to broadly elliptic leaves grow in tight, dense clusters from a small horizontal rhizome.

• Growth Habit: Anubias Petite has a slow growth rate and forms compact clumps rather than tall stems, so it doesn’t overwhelm small tanks or detailed layouts.

• Rhizome: Grows from a horizontal rhizome — do not bury the rhizome in substrate (it can rot). Instead, attach the rhizome to driftwood, rocks, or décor with thread or glue until roots anchor.

• Light: Thrives in low to moderate light; intense light isn’t necessary and can promote algae on slow-growing leaves.

• CO₂ & Nutrients: CO₂ injection is not required but can boost growth; liquid fertiliser helps keep leaves healthy.

• Placement: Best used in the foreground or on hardscape (stones, wood) in aquariums, paludariums, or terrariums.

• Water Parameters: Adapts well to a wide range of tropical freshwater conditions; generally tolerant of varying pH and hardness.

* Shipping is made to any location within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within 2 to 5 working days with Aramex
*The shipping cost is calculated as follows:
Shipping weight from 1 to 30 kg for 25 riyals. For every additional kilogram, 1 riyal.
Orders exceeding 300 riyals will be shipped for free, up to 15 kg. + 1 riyal for each additional kilogram.

Once we have dispatched your order you will receive a shipping email confirmation, so you know your order is on its way. The shipping email will contain all shipping information so you can keep tracking your order.

Also, you can track your shipping on our website using the tracking reference number. If no one’s at home and we are unable to deliver your item, you will be left a calling card and you will be able to arrange re-delivery.

All orders purchased before 1 pm Sunday to Thursday will be collected on the same day as per our standard delivery service and they will be dispatched and delivered to you within 2-3 days.

Next-Day Delivery Service in KSA

All orders purchased before 1 pm Sunday to Thursday will be dispatched by our delivery partner which aims to deliver the next working day. *Please note items purchased after 1 pm Thursday on our ‘Next Day Delivery Service’ will be shipped Friday for delivery on Monday. Any items purchased after 1 pm Friday will be shipped Monday for delivery on Tuesday. We do not offer next-day service on weekends. 

Bank Holiday Deliveries & Public Holidays

Aquarium and our delivery partners do not operate during Bank Holidays or any other Public Holidays. We are unable to dispatch or deliver items purchased during this period. We ask you to allow extra time for delivery when placing your order around Bank Holidays and other Public Holidays. Our normal services resume the next working day. Important Notice: Bank Holidays and any other Public Holidays will override any express service you have paid for during checkout. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
