What is Anubias barteri “Mini”?

Anubias barteri “Mini” (often sold as mini, mini coin, nana petite, etc.) is a dwarf cultivar of the aquarium plant Anubias barteri in the arum family Araceae. It’s bred for its very small leaf size and compact growth and is extremely popular in nano aquariums and detailed aquascapes.

📏 Description

• Size & Shape: Very compact and low-growing, typically reaching about 3–10 cm tall — ideal for foreground or midground planting in tanks.

• Leaves: Thick, dark green, small round/oval leaves that form neat clusters. The leaves rarely get large, often resembling tiny coins (hence names like mini coin).

• Rhizome: Grows from a horizontal rhizome (a creeping stem) — do not bury this rhizome in substrate as it can rot; instead attach to driftwood, rocks, or ornaments with thread until it grips.

• Growth Rate: Slow, but very stable once established.

• Light: Prefers low to moderate light and does not require intense illumination.

• CO₂ / Nutrients: Low maintenance — CO₂ is not required but can enhance growth.

• Placement: Best attached to hardscape (wood/rocks) in the foreground or midground; can also be used in nano tanks, terrariums, or paludariums.

• Water Conditions: Tolerant to a broad range of parameters, e.g., pH ~6.0–8.0 and moderate temperatures, making it suitable for beginners.

We provide you with delivery service within 24 hours for 25 riyals for orders worth less than 300 riyals. Free for any order above that.

Outside the Qassim region:
* Shipping is made to any location within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within 2 to 5 working days with Aramex
*The shipping cost is calculated as follows:
Shipping weight from 1 to 30 kg for 25 riyals. For every additional kilogram, 1 riyal.
Orders exceeding 300 riyals will be shipped for free, up to 15 kg. + 1 riyal for each additional kilogram.

Once we have dispatched your order you will receive a shipping email confirmation, so you know your order is on its way. The shipping email will contain all shipping information so you can keep tracking your order.

Also, you can track your shipping on our website using the tracking reference number. If no one’s at home and we are unable to deliver your item, you will be left a calling card and you will be able to arrange re-delivery.

Standard Delivery Service in KSA

All orders purchased before 1 pm Sunday to Thursday will be collected on the same day as per our standard delivery service and they will be dispatched and delivered to you within 2-3 days.

Next-Day Delivery Service in KSA

All orders purchased before 1 pm Sunday to Thursday will be dispatched by our delivery partner which aims to deliver the next working day. *Please note items purchased after 1 pm Thursday on our ‘Next Day Delivery Service’ will be shipped Friday for delivery on Monday. Any items purchased after 1 pm Friday will be shipped Monday for delivery on Tuesday. We do not offer next-day service on weekends. 

Bank Holiday Deliveries & Public Holidays

Aquarium and our delivery partners do not operate during Bank Holidays or any other Public Holidays. We are unable to dispatch or deliver items purchased during this period. We ask you to allow extra time for delivery when placing your order around Bank Holidays and other Public Holidays. Our normal services resume the next working day. Important Notice: Bank Holidays and any other Public Holidays will override any express service you have paid for during checkout. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
