Contains a feeding bottle, four teats and a cleaning brush.
This bottle is designed to feed newborns and growing animals (small puppies, kittens, rabbits, hedgehogs, etc.) and can also be used to feed sick or recovering animals.
Beaphar Feeding Syringes are invaluable to anyone trying to raise very small or weak animals. This pack contains two 12ml syringes and is ideal for feeding Beaphar Lactol or Beaphar Kitty milk.
How to use :
1. Make sure all equipment is clean and sterile before use, preferably soaking it in a sterile solution.
2. Mix Lactol milk powder as directed and allow to cool to body temperature.
3. Fill the blunt-ended syringe with Lactol and gently press the plunger to ensure the liquid flows out.
4. Propping the animal up with a towel is a good idea. This helps restrict the ends if necessary and absorb any spills.
5. Squeeze a bead of liquid onto the tip of the syringe and touch the animals' tongue. It should feel like a nipple and lead to swallowing, in which case it continues until the animal appears satisfied.
6. Be prepared to repeat this every 2-3 hours until the animal is strong enough to bottle feed.
additional information:
If this method does not work, fill the pointed syringe. Gently insert into the animal's mouth, then leave a few drops in the cheek, and let it swallow.
